dScience is excited to welcome the Data Science community to the annual Data Science Day! This year, they are exploring the exciting opportunities that emerge where AI and robotics meet.
The Nordic AI Young Researcher Symposium (Nordic AI Meet) is a crucial platform for exchanging knowledge on AI and its applications in the Nordics. The conference takes place over two days in one of the Nordic countries - this year, Iceland - and addresses key challenges in the public sector, industry, and civil society regarding AI use. The symposium covers basic and applied AI research in natural sciences, medicine, and social sciences, and provides a space for young researchers to discuss the implications of AI applications.
Going to Nordic AI Meet on 14-15 October? Join this pre-meeting satellite event on October 13, for open discussions on AI from a humanities and social sciences perspective.
In this talk, Jordan Richards will discuss how ideas from extreme value theory can be combined with deep learning to build models that are both flexible and scientifically interpretable.
Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how news is produced, distributed and encountered. It is becoming part of editorial workflows, content moderation and recommendation systems, influencing not only how journalists work, but also what information reaches the public – and how we decide what to trust.
What does this mean for the ethical foundations of journalism and news media? And how can we ensure that AI strengthens, rather than undermines, access to reliable information and democratic public life?
What powers today's AI—and who pays the price? UiB AI #22 brings together artists and academics to confront the hidden politics, power structures, and human costs behind AI's rapid rise, asking how higher education can help imagine futures beyond the industry's current trajectory.
Welcome to a webinar on AI in Norwegian specialist healthcare with Nis Johannsen from South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority, hosted by the NORA-HS student council.
Join postdoctoral researcher Ryan Marinelli (Department of Informatics, UiO, Norwegian Language Technologies research stream, MediaFutures) in this webinar hosted by NORA Research School
Welcome to the WASP-HS Summer School 2026 where we will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping power, politics, and the production of meaning in contemporary society. This year, the summer school is hosted by the WASP-HS research environment AI, Power and Politics and the DIGSUM Centre for Digital Social Research at Umeå Universiy.
Sees i KI-teltet!
The 31st Annual International Conference on Natural Language & Information Systems (NLDB 2026) will be held at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, from 17-19 June, 2026.
The Midnight Sun Summit in Mathematics and Engineering (MSSME) is organised by the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics and of Computer Science and Computational Engineering at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, and takes place on June 15-19, 2026 in Narvik.
Going to NORA Summer School? Don't miss out on AI Safety Day at Simula, which will be taking place on the Monday before the summer school starts. Although the day is organised mainly with NORA-HS Research School members in mind, NORA-Tech members are very welcome as well.
Generative AI is increasingly becoming integrated into all parts of the research process. It can help us search, draft, translate, code, and analyse data. The benefits are enormous, yet the use of AI also increases the need for ethical awareness about what constitutes good use.
Vi har gleden av å annonsere at NORAs årskonferanse i 2026 vil bli holdt i vakre Nasjonalmuseet, Oslo, 1.-2. juni!
The event brings together experts, researchers, and industry professionals to explore, discuss, and advance our understanding of the challenges and solutions related to aligning artificial intelligence systems with human values and goals.
A practical, interactive session for students ready to think differently about their career.
How can artificial intelligence help make our cities smarter, greener, and more sustainable, not only in the future but also through technology around us today?
Artificial intelligence increasingly depends on large-scale computational resources, data flows, cloud services, and secure networking. At the same time, countries and regions are exploring how to maintain strategic autonomy over critical digital infrastructure in a rapidly changing technological landscape.
Welcome to the official kick-off of the KAI Center at Kristiania University College
Along with our colleagues in the Nordic AI Partnership, we're supporting the Next Frontier AI Challenge, a pan-European initiative led by SPRIND - Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen (the German Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation), together with France and the European Commission, aimed at establishing globally competitive European frontier AI labs.
Partners BI, NTNU, the University of Agder, and the Centre for AI and Robotics at the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute will present their work, followed by a panel discussion with academics, practitioners, and policymakers on the implications of AI in public spaces.
