NORA is a Norwegian collaboration between 8 universities, 5 university colleges and 5 research institutes within AI, machine learning and robotics. We are strengthening Norwegian research, education and innovation within these fields.

NORA.ai Hosts Second Annual Women in AI Celebration on March 8th 19. mars 2024 09:30
On the 8th of March, NORA.ai hosted the second annual Women in AI celebration in Domus Bibliotheca, Oslo. NORA.ai, in collaboration with its partners, has dedicated efforts towards supporting consortium partners, startups, and companies, as well as individual researchers, in addressing the pressing issue of gender disparity within the field of AI. By providing a platform for open discussion, NORA aims to foster initiatives that can promote a more inclusive environment in AI research, education, and industry.

At Østfold university college a wave of AI-related initiatives is set to reshape the academic landscape. The launch of the Østfold AI hub marks a pivotal moment in fostering collaboration across faculties and engaging with stakeholders regionally and globally.
Events
The Norwegian government has announced a strategic effort on AI research that will lead to the establishment of 4-6 research centres on AI. There have been, and still is, a lot of discussion about the focus of this research effort. However, security has not been a prominent topic in this discussion.

The International Conference on Applied Artificial Intelligence (ICAPAI 2024) provides an international forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for the Digital Society.
