Available Roles and Internships

Students are essential talents for innovation and startups, and startups provide a critical domain for students. By working with startups, students can gain unique experiences, which are also very attractive CV material. There are many different types and cases of student-startup collaborations - internships, part-time employment, master thesis projects and so on. On this page, we will post updates on current opportunities with NORA partners.

Student assistants wanted: Vibe-coding hackathon at UiO

We are looking for two Master's or PhD students with experience in vibe-coding to help facilitate a hackathon for approximately 40 BA humanities and social science students at the University of Oslo with no prior experience. The hackathon is part of the course Algorithmic Power (MEVIT2617) and will take place on 10, 11 and 13 November, 12:15–15:00.

The role involves providing hands-on technical support and troubleshooting during the hackathon, which will use a virtual desktop environment set up by UiO's IT department. Assistants would also participate in a two-hour preparatory meeting to help conceptualise the event. This is an opportunity to gain experience facilitating experimental, interdisciplinary teaching at the intersection of AI, technology and society.

Paid student assistant positions are envisaged, with voluntary participation also possible for PhD candidates. For further information or to express your interest, please contact Prof. Taina Bucher at taina.bucher@media.uio.no.
