Joining the NORA.startup steering group in 2024 are Alvaro Fernandez-Quilez, Associate Professor at the University of Stavanger and leader of the Stavanger AI Lab; Nils Jacob Berland, CEO Bergen Robotics; Synnøve Olset, Founder and CEO Mynder and Åsmund Brekke, Co-founder Catchwise. Their knowledge of and enthusiasm for innovation and dedication to empowering AI startups, researchers and students will undoubtedly enrich NORA.startup and our efforts.
As we extend a warm welcome to our new representatives, we also express our gratitude to the outgoing members of the steering group namely Annette Fargerhaug Stephansen, NORCE; Gro Herredsvela Rørvik, Fjong and Sondre Pedersen, Findable. We thank them for their invaluable support throughout the years.
In addition, Birte Hansen, innovation and industry coordinator, will be transitioning from her position in NORA.ai at the end of March. She will however continue to serve as the leader of the NORA.startup steering group. We look forward to her continued guidance in her new capacity.
Looking ahead, the NORA.startup steering group is eager to continue with our mission alongside our new representatives. Together with our members, we are poised to plan and host a series of exciting events and initiatives that will serve as catalysts for innovation and growth within the Norwegian AI startup and innovation ecosystem.
From themed events, workshops and networking sessions and dataset competitions, we are committed to providing platforms that foster creativity, mentorship, and resource-sharing for aspiring entrepreneurs, students and seasoned researchers alike. Through our efforts, we aim to nurture a thriving community of startups and innovators.
