We are very pleased to announce that this year, four NORA Research School students will be able to take part in the the Alan Turing Institute's Data Study Group (DSG). More information about this exciting oppotunity is coming soon!
About
The Alan Turing Institute is the national institute for data science and artificial intelligence, with headquarters at the British Library. The institute focuses on the following:
- Research - endeavoring to answer the biggest questions in science, society and the economy
- Collaboration - with universities, businesses and public sector organizations
- Training the leaders of the future
- Leading the public conversation through public engagement and expert technical advice
What are Data Study Groups?
- Intensive 'collaborative hackathons' which bring together organisations from industry, government, and the third sector, with talented multi-disciplinary researchers from academia
- Organisations act as Data Study Group 'Challenge Owners', providing real-world problems to be tackled by small groups of highly talented, carefully selected researchers
- Researchers brainstorm and engineer data science solutions, presenting their work at the end of the week.
