Practical Information

Conference Venue

NORA's annual conference will in 2026 be held in central Oslo, at the beautiful National Museum. Conference entry through the main doors.

Accommodation

As this year's annual conference is taking place in Oslo, there are plenty of accommodation options nearby - also in close proximity to the conference venue - and NORA have therefore not organised any room reservations. We do however recommend that guests book their rooms as early as possible.

Dinner

On Monday, 1 June, NORA will be hosting a dinner at the National Museum as part of the first day of the conference. The dinner will start at 19:30, and all conference guests are welcome.

Transport

The National Museum is located at Brynjulf Bulls plass 3, 0250 Oslo, around a 5-minute walk from the transport hub Nationaltheatret. You can get there both by train, bus, tram and underground. The airport train (Flytoget) also stops at the National Theatre if you're travelling long-distance.

There is also a taxi rank and a ferry dock at Aker Brygge, right by the National Museum.
