About the speakers:
Lars Traaholt Vågnes, CEO & Co-founder
Lars is the co-founder and CEO of Simli, a company developing real-time AI avatars. He has 7 years of experience building and shipping AI models, including models that created value in the tens of millions of dollars for the maritime sector. Lars has founded two other generative AI companies: Nusic for generative music and Personate for AI video content creation. He holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Michigan & Shanghai Jiaotong Joint Institute and is fluent in Chinese. Lars is the founder of AIMadLab, an AI community in Norway that grew from 0 to 1000 members in 1 year.
Jon Nordby, CTO, Soundsensing
Jon is a Machine Learning Engineer specialized in IoT sensor systems. He has a Master in Data Science and a Bachelor in Electronics Engineering, and has published several papers on applied Machine Learning, including topics like edge ML and and audio analysis.
These days Jon is co-founder and Head of Data Science at Soundsensing, a leading provider of monitoring solutions for ventilation systems in commercial buildings.
Alise Danielle Midtfjord, Senior Data Scientist and Innovator
Alise is a Senior Data Scientist and innovator, who invents and designs artificial intelligence solutions at the AI Venture Studio - Intellectual Labs. When designing new AI solutions, she always has a focus on how the system can create most value for the end users. Alise is also a researcher, and holds a Ph.D. from the department of Mathematics at the University of Oslo. Here she researched and developed machine learning methodology for safety-critical problems. This involved the creation of novel methods to increase the trustworthyness of AI methodology, such as explainability, physics-informed machine learning and uncertainty quantification. Alise is passionately interested and involved in the development, use and spread of artificial intelligence, and has held a series of talks on how to create trustworthy and fair artificial intelligence systems.
