The program was diverse and energetic, featuring multiple oral sessions, poster tracks and keynote talks. The meeting opened with a captivating keynote by Klas Pettersen, Director of SimulaMet and former CEO of NORA, who reminded attendees that Nordic collaboration is central to strengthening AI research in the region. This was followed by absorbing talks from Emil Karlsson (SAAB), Theodora Kontogianni (P1, DTU), Michael Felsberg (Linköping University), Kristinn R. Thórisson (Reykjavík University) and more than thirty early‑career presenters.

Attendees voted for the best presentations — a difficult task given the high quality on display. The oral‑presentation award went to Shubhra Mishra (KTH) for “Do Language Models Understand What Makes the Math Problems Interesting?” The best poster prize was awarded to Jaike van Twiller (ITU) for “Navigating Demand Uncertainty in Container Shipping: Deep Reinforcement Learning for Enabling Adaptive and Feasible Master Stowage Planning.” Both pieces stood out for clear motivation and practical relevance.

There were many chances to network, beginning even before the official opening thanks to a spontaneous social gathering organized by Diana Unander (Linköping University). A conference highlight was the Dome experience on Wednesday evening: guided by the hypnotic narration of Anders Ynnerman, attendees explored a cinematic view of the universe, which sparked philosophical conversations that continued through the conference dinner. The evening left participants satisfied on both social and culinary fronts.

Winners of the NORA‑organized AI competitions were recognized and awarded during the meeting. The Norwegian AI Championship 2025 title went to the team Attention Heads, while the WindAI prize was won by EquiWindNerds — both teams received their prizes on stage.
Thank you to everyone who traveled to Norrköping for this year’s Nordic AI Meet. We’re already looking forward to next year — see you in Iceland!
