As part of the WEEK2 Anne-Kat. explained her views on AI and its use in the years ahead, to interested students in the Georg Sverdrups hus auditorium. The WEEK2 programme was put together by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Natural History Museum, the Faculty of Social Sciences, dScience and the Science Library.

The focus was on explaining how AI can be useful in a range of professions, as a tool based on statistical analysis and pattern recognition. Hærland made it clear to the students that while AI alone will not steal their jobs, other humans with AI knowledge might!
As part of explaining how AI can be used in future careers, Anne-Kat. showed practical examples to the audience: particularly well-received was a complete step-by-step PR-plan for an imagined artist, showcasing that while AI can help you plan, you yourself have to execute those plans!

Hærland also emphasized how being able to create good promts is the key to successful use of AI: the more you know about a subject, the better results you'll get.
A big thanks to Anne-Kat. for the informative presentation, and thank you to the audience who took the trip to the auditorium on this cold winter day!
