The significance of such initiatives cannot be overstated, especially in a field dominated by male voices. By focusing on gender diversity and inclusion, NORA.ai endeavours to inspire a more inclusive landscape within AI, ensuring that future generations have equal access and opportunities within this rapidly evolving field.

The program for the event included four keynote speeches followed by a panel discussion. The invited keynote speakers were:

Birte Hansen (NORA.ai), Ieva Martinkenaite (Telenor), Rebecca Wiborg Seyfarth (Völur), Hilde G. Corneliussen (Vestlandsforskning), Ajla Gasal (TEDx speaker) and Silvija Seres (Technorocks).

The event was hosted by Silvija Seres, mathematician, founder of Technorocks and AI investor, who introduced each speaker and led the panel discussion.

The Women in AI celebration serves as a reminder of the importance of representation and role models. At the end of the event, an updated version of the Women in AI Directory was launched. The Women in AI Directory serves an important function in promoting women in AI. The Women in AI Directory allows users to browse profiles, conduct targeted searches for experts, and explore the diverse sectors and industries where women are actively contributing to the field. The directory has been used by various organizations as a reference tool to enhance gender diversity in discussions and panel presentations, ensuring balanced representation.

By highlighting the achievements and contributions of women in AI in Norway, the directory aims to inspire others and showcase the myriad of opportunities available within the field.

Moving forward, NORA and its partners remain committed to driving positive change within the AI landscape. By fostering dialogue, advocating for inclusivity, and empowering underrepresented voices, NORA aims to contribute to a more equitable future where diversity is celebrated and embraced.
