NORA elects new board

On Monday, 22nd April, NORA convened the general assembly with its partners and elected a new board comprising of both new and former board members.

Tom Ryen was elected as new Chair of the Board. He is head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Stavanger (UiS), and has been active establishing Stavanger AI Lab, a virtual lab at UiS focusing on research, innovation, and education in artificial intelligence. 

Ryen has previously been a board member and Acting Chairman of NORA and looks forward to leading the board going forward. 

Research in artificial intelligence is currently happening at a tremendous pace. It can be challenging to keep up when development is moving so fast. Therefore, it is absolutely crucial that we collaborate within this research area in Norway. Through NORA.ai, we partake in the latest global research developments while actively contributing to them. Norway is at the forefront of AI-related research, very much thanks to NORA.ai. NORA wishes to thank the previous board and Chairman Inge Jonassen (UiB) for excellent work and important contributions to the field of artificial intelligence in Norway.
