Time and place:–,
Zoom Webinar
Generative AI is increasingly becoming integrated into all parts of the research process. It can help us search, draft, translate, code, and analyse data. The benefits are enormous, yet the use of AI also increases the need for ethical awareness about what constitutes good use.
Speaker:Magnus Skytterholm Egan (Department of Research, Innovation and Library at the University of South-Eastern Norway
In this interactive talk, I will consider what responsible use of generative AI might mean for PhD researchers, and how we can make practical judgements in the grey areas where rules and norms are still developing. We will discuss how AI impacts issues such as responsibility for results, transparency, privacy, bias and fairness, as well as the impacts of AI-tools on learning and knowledge production.
