New Rector and Pro Rector elected at the University of Bergen!
In the recently concluded elections at the University of Bergen, Margareth Hagen has been elected as the new rector of the university. She is a professor of Italian literature and has broad experience in management and organisation at UiB. From 2017 to 2021 she was the pro rector at the UiB with responsibilities towards research, PhD programmes and research ethics. Along with her, Pinar Heggernes is also elected as the pro rector for the university. Pinar is the professor and head of the department at Institutt for Informatikk. Pinar is active as a committee member in various national level committees around technology topics including AI. We at NORA congratulate the University of Bergen for new leadership and also wish both leaders success with their new responsibilities.
