CLAIRE Oslo Office Launch - The Nordic Model: Connecting Young Talent
We are thrilled to announce that we are officially launching the CLAIRE Oslo Office, June 3rd, 2021 - and you are invited!
Join us as we launch our CLAIRE office in Oslo and celebrate the achievements of the AI community in the Nordic Countries. The theme for the launch is "The Nordic Model - Connecting Young Talent", and we have invited representatives and actors from startups, industry and academia to introduce and discuss the state of AI in the Nordics and UK, collaboration between academia and industry, and how we can better highlight and engage Norway in the wider CLAIRE network
Building pan-European bridges, Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe (CLAIRE) is celebrating its reach across Europe by launching four new offices in Zurich, Oslo, Paris and Brussels in a month long Office Opening Roadshow beginning on May 26 to strengthen the CLAIRE Vision of inclusive and co-creative collaboration for responsible AI research and education all across Europe. The new offices will complement the 4 existing offices in The Hague, Saarbrucken, Rome and Prague.
AI is increasingly present in all aspects of academia, industry and daily life, which is why all stakeholders need to take part in the way the field is being framed. AI technologies will also have a global impact on societies. Thus, an international and European approach to AI is thus needed. To promote this approach nationally, NORA is thrilled to announce the official opening of the CLAIRE Oslo Office.
Please join the launching event The Nordic Model from 3:00–5:00 pm on June 3rd 2021.
This will give you the opportunity to learn more about CLAIRE and the Oslo office but also about activities and partnerships that the office is particularly involved in.

The Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe (CLAIRE) (https://claire-ai.org) is an organisation created by the European AI community that seeks to strengthen European excellence in AI research and innovation, with a strong focus on human-centred AI. CLAIRE aims to ensure that societies and citizens across all of Europe, and beyond, benefit from AI as a major driver of innovation, future growth and competitiveness, and to achieve world-wide brand recognition for "AI made in Europe". CLAIRE, founded in 2018, has garnered the support of more than 3700 AI experts and stakeholders, who jointly represent the vast majority of Europe’s AI community, spanning academia and industry, research and innovation. Among them are more than 140 fellows from various key scientific associations.
CLAIRE's membership network consists of over 390 research groups and institutions, covering jointly more than 22,000 employees in 36 countries. Furthermore, CLAIRE is currently in the process of setting up an Innovation Network that, together with the established Research Network, will foster a strong link between research and industry.
The CLAIRE vision is officially supported by the governments of nine European countries, 28 scientific associations across all of Europe, the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI), the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), and the European Space Agency (ESA). CLAIRE is also actively liaising with other important AI organisations, including ELLIS, the HumanE AI consortium, the Big Data Value Association, euRobotics and AI4EU.
